JUNIOR OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS (OLP) L1

Step Outside, Find Your Pack, and Take the Lead!

Are you ready for non-stop outdoor adventures all year long? The Junior Outdoor Leadership Program (OLP) is your ticket to exploring nature, building cool skills, and hanging out with awesome friends. Whether we’re hiking hidden urban trails, biking through city parks, hitting the cross-country skiing trails, or sitting around a campfire on a weekend wilderness trip, every season brings a new mission.

You won’t just be along for the ride—you and your team will help plan the action! Learn how to navigate urban and outdoor trails, pack for overnight camping, and keep your squad safe while discovering new outdoor pursuits. You’ll master animation, first-aid and “Leave No Trace” skills and give back to your community through hands-on outdoor service projects that your team will identify, plan and organize. No prior expert experience needed—just bring your energy and a passion for making a difference outdoors!

Level Up Your Leadership. Master the Outdoors. Own Your Future.

If you’re looking for a variety of leadership experiences, hands-on skill building, and genuine adventure, the Outdoor Leadership Program (OLP) delivers. Designed for teens who want more than just standard extracurriculars, this year-round program puts you directly in the driver’s seat of planning high-impact urban and wilderness activities.

Working collaboratively with a team of peers, you’ll gain practical expertise in:

Expedition & Project Planning & Logistics: Program planning, route navigation, risk assessment, and resource budgeting for multi-day trips and projects.
Community Stewardship & Service: Designing and executing conservation initiatives, leading local park restoration projects, and organizing environmental outreach for your community.
Group Animation & Management: Learning how to communicate effectively, motivate teams, and manage group dynamics under real conditions.
Seasonal Recreation: Advanced wilderness experiences including multi-season hiking, biking, and winter cross-country skiing.

Beyond the challenging leadership experiences, the Outdoor Leadership Program lets you earn valuable volunteer service hours while delivering explicit, professional-level leadership training that translates directly to job resumes, college applications, and future career paths. Step up, take charge, and make your mark outdoors.
