BENNY DAY CAMP 2026 

DESCRIPTION

Welcome to our city day camp program, tailored to inspire and engage children aged 6-12!   Our camp offers age-specific activities designed to cater to the unique interests and developmental stages of each age group. New this year an urban explorer program for 13 year olds.

Our camp puts special emphasis on outdoor activities that encourage exploring neighbourhood parks while discovering the wonders of nature right in the heart of the City. We will introduce our campers to local nature spots, different parks in NDG, urban hiking & fishing and biking in the older groups. 

Traditional sports, recreation and culture activities and weekly trips  round out our weekly schedule.  We will visit Benny library every week and organize workshops, multicultural days, fun Fridays and special camp wide group challenges throughout the summer.

A typical camp week will include nature challenges, sports and team activities, collective games, crafts, swimming at the big pool or splash pad water parks  and trips around the NDG and Montreal. Our campers are always on the move!

Working in collaboration with the City of Montreal our highly motivated, energetic and resourceful staff are experienced in animating sports and animation activities, hold first aid certifications and are trained and supervised daily by our Camp Director. 

NDG Outing & Sports Club and Jeunesse Benny have been running outdoor recreation and leadership programs for youth and families across NDG since 1980.

Camp will run June 29th, 2026 through August 7th, 2026.

  • FULL CAMP will be  6 weeks.

CAMP COST 

  •  6 WEEK CAMP PROGRAM (Register for full summer)
    • $720. CDN-NDG Residents. – for full 6 weeks                         
    • $795.  Non-Residents  for 6 weeks 
  • EXTENDED CAMP ( 6 Weeks) 
    • $ 325.  Monday – Friday.  7:30 am – 9 am & 4 pm – 6pm 
    • $ 220.  Monday – Friday.  7:30 am – 9 am
    • $ 220.  Monday – Friday.  4:00 am – 6:00 pm 
    • $    60.  Friday afternoons only-  1:00 pm – 4:00pm.    DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS if you have already registered for Extended Extended hours AM/PM or Extended Hrs PM only. 
  • WEEKLY CAMP PROGRAM (Register by the week)
    • Week #1 June 29th – July 3rd    $200 / week
    • Weeks #2-#6 July 6th – August 7th    $250/week
    • Extended Hours (Mornings & Evenings)  $45 / week
    •  Camp Fees includes;
      • Cost of activities and projects
      • A non-refundable administrative charge of $100.00 is required at registration
    • Camp fees DO NOT include; 
      • Additional cost for  STM bus tickets 
      • Special bus trips outside the Island of Montreal.

.Camp location

Benny Center is a City of Montréal recreation center located in the back of St. Monica School facing Benny Park. We are independent from St. Monica School, please do not contact the school directly. We can be reached at jeunessebenny@gmail.com.

Camp Dates / Hours

  • June 29th, 2026 –  August 7th, 2026     REMINDER: NO CAMP on July 1st
  • Monday to Thursday 9 – 4pm and Fridays 9am – 1pm
  • Friday afternoons  1-4 pm available. 

AGE GROUPS:

  • Camper will be placed in age groups; 6/7s, 8/9s, 10/11s,  12/13s.
  • Children must be 6 years old AND have completed grade 1 on June 29th, 2026. Proof of age is required before June 1st, 2026.
  • There are also a 2 teen programs this summer;
    • LIT program (Leaders-in-training- for teens 13 – 15 years)
    • CIT (Counsellor-in-Trainng for 15 – 16 years)

Extended Camp Hours

  • Extended hours Mon to Fri  7 – 9am  AND 4 pm – 6 pm and Fridays 1:00 – 6:00 pm
  • Campers registered in Extended PM DO NOT register for Friday pm Extended Hours

 RL 24 Tax Form

The Social Insurance Number for the parent (or both parents) claiming the tax receipt is REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A RL24 tax receipt receive for your day camp fees If you refuse to provide this information at registration.

 REFUND POLICY

Refunds will only be considered upon receipt of an email sent to jeunesse.benny@gmail.com. Your non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 will not be refunded. Any refund request applied to a 7 week camp registration for non-medical reasons will nullify your special 7-week full camp registration rate. You will be charged the weekly camp rate of $250/week for each week your child attended the camp. CAMP WEEKS start at 4 pm on the preceding Friday.  Once the week has started, it will be considered completed and no refund will be issued for that week. 

Refunds Due to Medical Reasons

Any refunds requested for medical reasons will be considered at any time, provided a valid doctor’s note is provided with the written request. If granted, the refund will be pro-rated on the unused portion of the fee and a 10% administrative charge may be applied.

BEHAVIORAL POLICY

Please note that the camp management reserves the right to refuse or dismiss any child who acts in a dangerous or aggressive manner toward him/herself, other children, camp personnel, or property. There will be no refunds for children who are sent home for behavioral issues unless a replacement camper is found. Camp management also reserves the right to refuse the registration of any child previously dismissed from our camp for safety or behavioral issues.

ATTENTION – NOTICE OF AUTHORIZATIONS FOR SUMMER

  1. Travelling within the City of Montreal throughout the summer.
    1. I give permission for my child to participate in the daily programs at Club de plein air NDG and Jeunesse Benny. This includes activities leaving the Benny center / Benny park areas. If the program has planned an activity off of the island of Montreal, a detailed permission form will be sent home. Our day camp will be using public transportation, the Benny vans or school buses.
  2. Taking photos of campers throughout the summer.
    1. I authorize Club de plein air NDG and Jeunesse Benny to take pictures of my child(ren) for promotional purposes during the programs or activities. I will contact Club de plein NDG in writing should I not want pictures of my child to be taken
