COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM (CIT)
COUNSELOR -IN-TRAINING (CIT) (Summer)
The Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program is designed for teens aged 14-16 who are interested in developing leadership skills and gaining experience working with children. The program is hands-on and consists of a combination of training workshops, team-building activities, and supervised camp group placements to prepare participants for future roles as camp counselors. CITs will develop skills in communication, conflict resolution, activity planning and execution, safety awareness, and animation. Guided by experienced staff mentors, the CITs will shadow counsellors and assist with activities. This process also includes a feedback component which enables youth to develop and refine their leadership skills. This engaging and supportive program is ideal for youth who want to build confidence and responsibility, enjoy working with children, and have a desire to become positive role models.
There is no activity fee for this program, however the number of available spots in this program is limited.
